THE SKIN OF ANOTHER
CULT: A DOCUMENTARY
Cult is a three-part documentary series inspired by the work of Buxton author World of Wolfson. The series investigates reported cult sightings and mysterious activity in the small town of Buxton, exploring local stories, rumours, and the darker side of the town’s history.
The film depicts a circus clown applying his makeup, but through contrasting editing, sound design, and cinematography, the same moment is presented in two very different ways. Each sequence creates a distinct atmosphere, transforming an ordinary routine into something unsettling and suspenseful.
Skin of Another is a short film exploring the growth of queer identity through four symbolic acts. In each stage, a masked performer represents a different moment in life, revealing a cycle of transformation, self-discovery, and personal evolution.
